Water, sewer and storm takeoff, fitting by fitting

Utility sheets are where takeoffs get missed. CivilQuick Takeoff measures pipe by size and counts the fittings, valves, hydrants, manholes and structures on water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage plans.

Every run, every fitting

A water main takeoff isn't just linear feet of pipe. It is every bend, tee, valve and hydrant, and on the sewer side every manhole. Counting them by hand across plan and profile sheets is slow, and a missed fitting on a long main adds up. CivilQuick Takeoff treats utilities as a first-class part of the takeoff, never an afterthought.

What it measures

  • Water mainLF of pipe by size
  • Water fittingsBends, tees and other fittings
  • Valves & hydrantsValves and fire hydrants
  • Sanitary sewerLF of pipe by size, run counts per size
  • ManholesSanitary and storm manholes
  • Storm pipeLF by size
  • Storm structuresInlets and manholes by type
  • UnderdrainLF only

Plan and profile, counted once

Utilities are drawn on the plan view and again on the profile, and often on the roadway and erosion control sheets too. CivilQuick takes each pipe and fitting from the sheet it belongs on and counts it once, then stops cleanly at each match line.

Breakdowns you can price from

Pipe totals come with a breakdown by size, and by run where it matters, so you can price trenching and restoration as well as material. Every count links back to the symbol on the sheet, so checking a fitting count is a click, not a re-count.

Utility takeoff questions

Does it count water main fittings automatically?

Yes. Bends, tees, valves, hydrants and other fittings are counted from the plan symbols and labels, alongside the pipe length.

Does it take off sanitary sewer and storm drainage?

Yes. Sanitary pipe and manholes and storm pipe and structures are all part of the takeoff, organized by pay item.

Can I correct a count?

Yes. Click any item to see it on the sheet, then reassign it, delete it or add one by hand. Totals update as you go.
